Greenford Rovers - In At The Deep End...

Here at The FM Addicts we take pride in providing you with some weird, wacky and original databases' but for my first editor work of the year I'm going with a tried and tested formula - The £35 Million Challenge!

The Story...

Blackpool, much to the delight of their chairmen, have gone bust and the FA have lost it. Burnley have been relegated to plug the whole in the Sky Bet Championship. Although that was a rookie move; only 19 teams are registered for the upcoming Barclays Premier League season - someone needed to fill the gap.

So why not Greenford Rovers?

Greenford Rovers FC (which was meant to be a fictional place (but is actually real)) have £35 million to build themselves an entire squad to combat relegation from the Premiership! Although the odds aren't completely against you - a sizeable stadium and brilliant facilities will help...

Can you build the ultimate footballing dynasty in Greenford?

Downloading!

To play as Greenford Rovers just download this file and put it in your Football Manager 2015 folder and then into 'editor data'...

New York City FC

By Luke - The Football Manager Addicts and Luke's Stories of An FM

Hi everybody, welcome to my latest database - which I am very, very excited about!

If you follow my page you'll know that I have recently started a New York City FC save. I searched around for a database of use but I just couldn't find anything suitable - so I got in contact with The Football Manager Whizzkids about the possibility of using their latest transfer update to base my NYCFC database on!

And they said yes!

The Story...

If you didn't already know New York City FC are set to join the MLS next season and are heavily affiliated with Manchester City, England's champions!

They have signed a few players but not enough to play a match so with a lot of bucks you have to buy players, get staff and win soccer matches - easy enough right?

NYCFC are yet to announce their kits but have released their badge so I've used that as an estimate as to what the kits could be! I've also made The Yankee Stadium (their temporary home) with an accurate stadium capacity and seating colour...

 Downloading!

To play with NYCFC you must place it in the file shown below!

Three New Cities...

By Luke - The Football Manager Addicts and Luke's Stories of An FM Addict

Hi guys, welcome to my latest challenge database blog!

I've made a few challenge databases in the past and they've all gone down quite well - hopefully this one does to...

Fiction - Fact

Grand Theft Auto is one of the highest grossing series of all time but never has anyone merged it with everyone's favourite series of all time - Football Manager!

Los Santos, Vice City and Liberty City have been made real and they all wanted a soccer team!

The three teams all have blockbuster facilities and finances but have no players and are funded by a board filled the city's most prolific criminals - and we thought Abramovich was harsh.

Los Santos City Felons, Liberty City Spurs and Vice City Alliance need a manager; they want you!

Can you lead these troubled teams to glory?

Downloading...

As always you can download my work from 'MediaFire' safely and for free - so give it a go!

Into The Game...

By Luke - The Football Manager Addicts and Luke's Stories of An FM Addict

On both FMA and LSOFMA we sent out a post asking for our liker's to get involved with a new venture of ours - Into The Game - and here it is!

We have made two variation's for this database as one is meant for a blog; the other a challenge for you guy's...

The idea of into the game is that you got in touch with your player details; they are entered into a team and we can see who will reign supreme and who will be the Tom Cleverly!

Wales - The Blog...

Our blogging series sees your players entered into the Welsh league! The re-named FMA Premier League features twelve teams with impeccable facilities and a huge transfer embargo - we didn't say it was going to be easy!

Can you lead your team (or someone elses) to supremacy?

Skrill- The Challenge!

Our newest challenge database sees the same twelve team's entered into the Skrill Premiership (England's sixth division). With outstanding facilities you should be blessed by incredible youth and few injuries but your Achilles Heal returns: again you're placed under a transfer embargo!

You have a highly skilled squad but with no professional experience it will be an uphill battle to reach the promised land of the Barclay's Premier League!

The Link's...

You can download both databases below...

Wales - https://www.mediafire.com/?d86qrwz0ssetwfi

Skrill - https://www.mediafire.com/?fc68hmmcdnleecn

We had a slight issue when uploading so you'll have to load the above as a save! Put it into Documents - Sports Interactive - Football Manager 2014 - Games. Load it up and then your good to go!

Before I go. If you want to keep up to date with all things AYO, FM Lord Chris and me: go and like or subscirbe to our other ventures!

Manchester City - Race Against Time...

By Luke - The Football Manager Addicts and Luke's Stories of An FM Addict

Hi guys, welcome to my first ever challenge database! Today I'm going to be running you through my 'Race Against Time...' challenge, where you will need to lead Manchester City back to glory...

The Story...

UEFA have turned into hard, hard bastards.

Due to Manchester City's horrifying balance sheet's UEFA have had to take action: Manchester City have been relegated to the Conference North and have been handed a transfer embargo until 1st July 2018 (the first season you could possibly reach the Premier League again). Yep, they were harsh!

Because of their demise to England's sixth tier, as you can imagine, Man City's stars well and truly through a strop: they all wanted out and NOW! However the board didn't allow that, the entire first team squad has been sent out on loan until the start of the 2018 season with the other club paying their wages in full!

Now, your left with the kids (and 'you cant win anything with kids'). Manchester City's young guns are your team for the next 4 season's, weather you like it or not!

The squad! Richard Right is the father figure...
Your squad is heavily depleted, as you can see, but you have some big talent for the lower leagues...

Alex Henshall is a pacey winger, who will cause havoc!

Jason Danyer is a very tidy centre-half, nothings getting past him!
You are expected to win the league in the first season, by both the owner and media, so good luck with that!

The entire Manchester City playing staff agreed to extend their contracts to 2024 but if you aren't in the Premier League by their loan return don't expect Aguero and co. to hang around, they probably won't!

To Conclude...

As I said to start: this is my first ever challenge database (so I'm not sure weather it'll be too easy or too hard).

However I've tested it a few times, by holidaying through, and it looks good!

Any feedback would be appreciated (as would the downloads!).

Before I go. If you want to keep up to date with all things AYO, FM Lord Chris and me: go and like or subscirbe to our other ventures!

Team America

Sorry its not the Puppet's but the Football team, Team USA just like the Team FA England http://www.fmchallenges.blogspot.co.uk/2014/07/team-fa-england.html and RF Espana http://www.fmchallenges.blogspot.co.uk/2014/07/team-rf-espana.html We have a Team USA. They are players that are on the edge of International recognition along with some of the best youngsters USA has to offer.

I have to say it was one of the hardest team's to pick as I avoid the MLS due to not understanding the rules if I am totally honest. But Michael Bradley Landon Donavan have featured in teams of mine in the past. This challenge has been the perfect time for me to get to know the American players. Hopefully I have done the Nation proud, if you you think I am far off the team it should be then please feel free to correct me and point me in the correct direction.

The staff was very hard I went by reputation rather than anything else, I wanted a big world wide name that might increase the popularity of the team in the same way the American would go for like Klingsmann, Giggs or Scholes where first choice but would they? Then it came to me a CB who would love it and personal biased aside he has been one of the biggest names in European football having played for England and Manchester United. I welcome you to Team USA Assistant Manager (Manager if you don't control the team) Rio Ferdinand. He will also be available to play I know that is not the aim of the team but he would do well for you if he is wanted.

As for the rest I decide to stick American although somehow a Costa Rican has snuck in, not sure how that one happened. The first thing I would possibly do on this save however is look at each individual and maybe bring in your own staff as it was done by reputation rather than ability by myself. But they should be up to the standard to start with.

As for players well I only know of one of your best youth products ever and his name is Freddy Adu this is how I remember and know of him:

The young God of United States Football

If he was in this years FM at that age he may look alot like this:

Not that i would recreate a wonderkid so that you could use him for a challenge, But here is FM05's Freddy Adu in Team USA. As for the rest of the team i tried to avoid the players that where taken to the 2014 world cup as well as Landon Donavan but had to have some talent apart from the Above god. Let me know what you think of them.

Jay's Inbetweener's Woking Challenge

Now there are many famous Championship (Football) manager fans but are any bigger than the above quote??? No we thought not either, Now Jay maybe a managerial God but luckily I managed to garb an interview with him.

We scheduled the meeting but twice it got cancelled as he was "too busy shagging the pussay, you know how it is" But finally he joined us.

He informed us that Sir Alex and Giggsy approached him on day one begging to be a part of his set up so it helped that he had an assistant that admired him so much. He also claimed that Giggs took the flack for him shagging his brothers wife as he didn't want the publicity himself. After an hour or 5 seconds game time Ronaldinho and David Beckham arrived to be part of the revolution to help themselves improve as footballer's under a great manager.

It had helped that he was the talent scout that spotted Balanta Hughes and Fierro as he knew about them way before anyone else did. He also brought through the youth ranks Jayzinho his uglier half twin brother. Jay himself could have become a superstar to rival the greats but due to his face he was too busy with the ladies to make the commitment. Luckily for Jayzinho he doesn't have that problem and was eligible from the off to play in almost any position his manager wanted, Jayzinho had the talent to rival Messi and Pele he was that good.

Cristano Ronaldo also funded his own move to Woking to join up with the team. All he wanted was good football and was assured of that at from Jay's Woking apparently.

We soon realized he had a bit of FM Editor Magic but we have managed to replicate what he had but we have added our own little challenges. As you can see you have everything you need to be European Champions in Six years but can you honestly do it? I promise it wont be easy.

Download here: http://www.mediafire.com/download/b45t3ux756nd8cd/Jay's_Woking_tale.dbc

Thank you Jay for taking time out of your busy schedule to help us with this challenge.

My FM14 Chelsea FC tactics

I was going to put this as a status on our page https://www.facebook.com/TheFMAddicts?fref=nf I then realised I had already written an essay that maybe no one would appreciate in a facebook status. We where discussing our tactics and that we should post them up on the page. So here is mine I have been doing the save on and off for 4 seasons now ill show you where i've come and how it has changed over the course of 4 years. I will do a proper update at the end of the season and if its wanted ill post regular updates.

Here is my formation with my favoured 11, in a team like Chelsea I have so many options but taking form and ability into consideration these are my first choice 11 atm.

I cant drop Terry I keep trying but he wont let me Zouma and Doria being forced out by the big man Dan Burn.As you can see its so new that Van Gaal Wenger etc all bow to my innovative ideas, simple really 4-2-3-1. With most the players I use the role that they are most suited too like in Central Defence Zouma is a CD Covering and Doria BPD Covering there are no set instructions for most positions.

My Team instructions are affected by what the board want they request I play an attacking possession based football, although I favour a fast controlling game I have gone for what they request. I do change mentality for opposition I had just played Fiorentina away for so I went for control rather than attacking and a DMC instead of AMC as sometimes you need to watch your back as winning is more important, but we still played good football.

As for  team instructions I have hardly evolved from the start those who have followed me in the past know I love my wingers to swap sides in game and really terrorise different opposing full/wing backs but with The Ox coming in last summer and Hazard being less affective the season before swapping with Willian and Marin on the right I decided it was time to drop that idea for now. Apart from that instruction nothing has changed since day one.

The only position's I prefer as set instruction for is the wide men, RB/LB I ask that they stay wide and provide the overlap as complete wingbacks pace and all round ability needed if you want to play for me there. As for the AML/R I am using Inside Forwards asking them to play narrower and cut inside as who wants Hazard running to the corner flag??? I did try for the first couple of years as Advanced Playmakers on the wings and although they where very creative they all lacked goals, inside forward fixed that now its stopping them thats the problem (not for me).

Upfront well I do have a few others, Issiah Brown a few re-gens who I all play to their strengths, Although my team has one major strength here it is:
No purpose to this but I just wanted to show off Lukaku!

Team RF Espana

We have decide to expand my Team FA England idea and will be taking on many different nations. We started in Spain and will move around Europe then the world, hopefully building a competition with all the teams included. Why Spain when their national team is apart from this world cup, awesome? It should help show the comparisons in standard of the nations involved hopefully. I started with the chairman and apart from Barce and Real Madrid I really struggled with Spanish staff my knowledge is awful and I am not happy to have to admit that. I did however find one I knew would be a great Chairmen because he already is, my knowledge of this guy is huge, I've watched him play once on TV and I know how to pronounce his name. But i regret putting him in as I now have to type his name. Andoni Zubizarreta (I copied from a pic I wont even display my attempt on this blog page sorry.)

As for director I choose an ex-Bolton Wanderers player, to be fair he was one of the biggest names in football during his prime hopefully I'm not the only person who was alive and older than 10 when this guy was strutting his stuff at Real Madrid, if I am please don't make me feel in anyway old I have already had Luke doing that to me on another project I am working on. (to be fair to Luke it was not in a rude way at all but still wasn't happy.) Fernando Hierro and I spelt that correctly first time!!!! He will be team RF Espana's Managing director, this roles wont have a huge or any effect on in game play but realism here guys please stick with me.

The rest of the staff I have never heard of used or even tell you without researching where I stole them from in the first place, all I can tell you is that I took 1 or 2 from the big clubs Madrid and Barce but tried to spread out the stealing from other teams in Liga BBVA.

As for players I knew I was up against it with team FA England's players being of superior quality I wasn't sure if the Spanish had the players to challenge Barton (even without a cigar in hand) Wickham or even Shawcross, after alot of searching I found them. Hope you know I was joking about the superior bit, aswell as how long it took me, it was a horrible job should I take this world class player or use that world class player its not fair. The player that stands out the most is Real Madrid's Isco he is no Ronaldo or Bale yet and as much as I want to say he's no Ross Barkley, I think we all know that he is going to be one of the best.

I don't know if I am going to carry on writing I could pick any 24 and they probably would have gone to the World cup if they where English. Valdes/Lopez, anyone want Joe Hart and Ben Foster???? Tello Deulofeu Munian Jese, did England even take wingers??? I don't remember them? To be fair Sterling and Towsend do look like they could become key for club and country and have very good careers.

Tottenham Hotspurs Roborto Soldardo is also included but he's overleaf didn't seem Necessary too take two screen shots. They do have one disadvantage even though he did got to the World Cup with Spain and that is Chelsea's own Fernando Torres he couldn't score in a brothel let alone on FM14.

I had forgotten that had happened while I was waiting for Lukaku's return from Everton.
Okay they have no weaknesses.

As for stadium I used the abandoned Olympic Stadium in Seville. The club has a transfer embargo until 2100 just like the England team aswell as excellent facilities, giving re-gens that will be crap compared to their English counter parts.

England Team FA Players

The FA England Team

It took quite awhile to decide who would be lined up to play for the FA England team alot of players qualified but did not get in for different reasons. I tried to go for as young as possible but “you don't win anything with kids” apparently so there are one or two that are a little older I tried to pick the players with the least caps on the verge of the England team but never quite made it. Ill also use guess work to total up how much the FA might just spend on this set up.
Ben-Foster-001
The Goalkeepers was tough with my first choice as the only keeper who I feel could give Joe Hart a run for his money now, Ben Foster asIi honestly think he is our second best goalkeeper. But he has retired from international footballhttp://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/birmingham-city/8506991/Birmingham-City-goalkeeper-Ben-Foster-retires-from-England-duty.html I did debate removing that from him on FM14 just because I could but decided to keep it as realistic as I possibly could. But Roy managed to talk him around after I had already written this but still he is out!!
The obvious choice was chosen, Stoke Citys Jack Butland a Goalkeeper we all know and can see his potential already many of you probably brought him in FM as your next or current number one. 3.3million. My second choice is because i have always thought his stats start better than Jacks and that is Middlesbrough’s Jason Steele i wanted to see who would develop into my number one setting them a challenge maybe. 3million. My third choice as you have to have 3 keepers, was Scott Carson i wanted an older keeper advancing on in years i did debate Robert Green and a few others but Scott won it as i once used him in one of the older FM’s. 2.3milion. Total of goalkeepers 8.6million.
Now the defense was a struggle so many different options that I had no idea who I was going to use but I am very happy with the players that have been selected but I could have picked a whole different line up that could have been just as strong.
At RB I choose players that would fit in my tactical system as Complete Wingbacks I used this at Chelsea with Dave (Azpilicueta) and Marcelo/Bertrand it worked really well for me so decide that was the option again. Southamptons Nathaniel Clyne and Evertons John Stones where the two that I chose both quick and destined to fight it out for an England place in the future. 5.6million Clyne 2.4million Stones. Clyne should be challenging sooner i think as he is showing alot of quality already in an impressive Southampton side.
In CB First choice is the man everyone seemed to sign FM12 and FM13 i still dont know why he is not in contention for the Euros. The only negative thing that i can think of was his horror tackle on Ramsey all them years ago, but he is a solid CB Ryan Shawcross. 9.5million. Steven Caulker was my second choice as I really feel he has what he takes and the only reason I can see he left Tottenham was if AVB said he didn't want him, top player in my eyes and will be perfect partner for Shawcross 8.5million. The other two i picked where Eric Dier who is quite versatile as he can play RB and DMC he currently in Portugal with Sportinghttp://footballmanagerstory.com/scout/fm-2014-player-profile-eric-dier/ This is where I first heard about him. Had it not been for FM and FM Story’s facebook page think i would be non the wiser about this guy so i have to use him now. 4million. Lastly Liverpools Andre Wisdom have always liked him on previous FM’s alot of good playing quality about him but Jamaal Lascelles is usually the option i pick over him well not this time. 3million.
Shawcross
At left back i picked a Complete Wingback who has made Ashley Cole retire and kept Marcelo to second choice in a previous Chelsea save Ryan Bertrand. 4.2million. He has been really reliable for me on FM14 so far lets see if he can beat off a true FM great that both United and Chelsea look to be coming in for this Summer. Luke Shaw obvious will be an England player without a doubt but i have never used him so now the biggest test of his FM career impressing me (Maybe not). 20million. Defenders 57.2million total. 65.8million in total overall.
Of course i could run you a list of other players that would fit this category Micheal Keane who looks destined to make a name for himself and many more that just missed out on a place in the squad.
With all England teams a DMC is needed as the team was Hull City I decided to retain Tom Huddlestone he is a player I really like, think he has the quality not to be the first name on the team sheet but defiantly a squad player. 5.25million. Secondly a player i always look at and think about signing but i always go for the ready made option George Thorne He always has good stats and with a little work can make the grade. 2.25million. DMC’s 7.5million. 73.3million overall total.
tom-huddlestone-hull-451054
In Central midfield was tough aswell believe it or not England have so amazing talent here. My first choice was an FM favorite that i had never used Will Hughes now is his time to shine for me and i have no doubt that he will. 3.25million. Another is the guy in the media spot light at the moment the next Gascoinge and playing for Everton Ross Barkley I had to have him I have used him before but he's always missed out on becoming regular team player mainly as I did not use him enough. 12.25million. Next Chelseas Nathienal Chalobah i used him as a CB on FM12 and he became my club and International captain so im expecting big things. 5.25million. I also added Lewis Baker http://fmlordchris.wordpress.com/2013/12/04/lewis-baker-development-football-manger-2014-wonderkid/ Hes the only reason ill go back to that save. 2.75million. The next two may be a surprise Jake Livemore and Josh Mceachran I just felt they added something to the team and deserved their chances. 7million for both. 30.5million midfield. 103.8 million overall
Lets start on the AMR position my attacking wide men as my preferred layout, Marc Albrighton is included he is at Aston Villa im not 100% sure why I picked him (may have been his 18 for crossing FM12, [not anymore tho]) but he's not tipped for greatness ill see if he can make it. 2million. The second choice was the man that took City apart in last years FA Cup for Wigan Callum Mcmanaman for that reason he gets a chance to shine id like to see him develop well. 5.25million. AMR 7.25 million. 111.05milion Overall.
After seeing the Right side you may think ive picked weak players well one has almost certainly booked his place on the plane to Brazil for a recent International goal. I wasnt going to use Andros Townsend but in both saves ive had he hasnt gone to the Euros infact hes made a big money move and not played to stop that happening i have added him to my squad. 15million.The next will need to put in alot of effort at Cardiff to be included in the world cup squad, but he is capable with Sir Alex bringing him to United. Wilfred Zaha if Sir Alex sees something in him then i have too aswell. 10million. AML 20million. 131.05 million Overall.
Wilfried Zaha at England training
I picked 5 strikers id like to play two upfront but think ill be mainly playing with a loan striker. Connor Wickham was my first choice i signed him at Chelsea and when he wasnt injured he scored also he has 20 for long throws something that people joked about with Stoke, I feel if you can it should be done an extra set piece rather than a short through that dosnt really get results? 5million. Charlton Cole for free, He did re-sign for West Ham but as in the summer he was a free transfer so i used him as that. 0.00million. Andy Carroll goals? lets hope so hes my big name striker the man that will need to hold the line at the start while others around him grow in stature, i debated Crouch but he does have quite a few caps already. 15million. Jay Rodriguez i just like him from his days at Burnley i wanted him to challenge Carroll for my striker spot from the off. 7million. Up next a legend if used right Adam Campbell just had to steel the wonderkid from Newcastle. 1.75million. strikers 28.75million. 159.8million Overall.
connor wickham
After much contemplation i added three more players, Firstly Dan Burn he actually held down John Terry’s spot in my Chelsea save keeping Doria and Zouma out of the team for a season anyway. I left him on loan at Birmingham as he would play more for them. 2.5million. Issiah Brown was also added he had rotted in the under 18s for me when Celtic loaned him and he made the England squad, from there he came back and couldn’t score but i decided i may have to see if i can use him this time. 1.25million.Next is again an Obvious choice like Luke Shaw was James Ward-Prowse  i just had to have him. 15million.

Team FA England

Team FA England

I started this because with every FM I just love developing Youth and I wanted a challenge where I at least felt like I was helping the English National team.
St George's Park - General views of the football training facilities and hotel complex during a media event
The story of it goes that due to board changes along with the name change of Hull City or Hull City Tigers they where banned from participating in the English Premier League for a year. (Hull fans I love you all, but there was threats and talks of this happening when I first created it so no offence intended.) It gave the FA the chance to try and use the opening to improve our nations Footballing future. They created a team giving them use of the Olympic stadium and turning St Georges park into top level training facilities for some of the brightest talents this nation has to offer. I know as well as everyone that this is not possible well at least in the same capacity as I have used it for, as the players alone would probably cost the FA well over 100 million and time plus more money to re-develop the facilities to make them useful for this purpose, but this is FM and I am in control. [insert evil laugh if you feel it helps]
olympic-stadium
I have seen the idea thrown around by many blogs and papers saying that this could well be an option available so its not my idea and don't want to claim it is in anyway, if I could remember where I first saw it I would credit them here sorry that I cant. Also sorry to Hull fans its nothing against you or your club just someone had to go and there was talk of them leaving no matter how unlikely that would be I saw my opportunity.
FA England_ Overview Profile-3
I loved the home kit seems more English than plain white think Inter Milan and Manchester City have used a shirt along those lines but encase anyone at the FA sees this I am available to re-design the England kits for you id probably be cheaper than Umbro but not by much.
Firstly finance I made sure that it was never going to be an issue giving plenty of fans and sponsors to them as its not something that needs to be worrying about in this challenge. I d like to be able to offer a contract no matter how ridiculous I have to make it to keep the player at the club. Apart from contracts money is not an issue as I have installed a transfer embargo until 2100 as I will not sign any new players at all as that is not the purpose of this exercise. Although if done in real life I am  sure a director would be in place to bring in decent prospects to the club. But for me that will be the yearly youth intake. I know if I didn't and left it up to me I would bring players in.
FA England_ Information Facilities
Staff wise I have Glenn Hoddle as Chairman as this seems like the sort of project he would encourage and like to be part of so picked him to be my FA go between to be honest apart from pre talk I wont hear much if anything from him. I added David Beckham as my Managing Director just as a big name and its David Beckham how could I not he is still my England Captain.
Glenn Hoddle
David-Beckham-Olympics-UpscaleHype-4
(No recent photo of these two together I am surprised. [insert comment of Beckham being a bad person in previous life for not being best buddies with Glenn if you feel it will help])
As for Staff I did aim to keep it primarily English but one or two other nationalities snuck in. Paul Scholes and Ray Clemance joining a host of some of the best staff this great footballing nation has to offer.(should that be once great? I'd like to think not.)

I wanted it to be players that are yet to be associated with the England team. I was going to pick players that didn't stand a chance and create players that not many knew of and used, but I also wanted to stay in the premiership even if it was a relegation dog fight every year. I have added a few that are in the set up already being looked at as future regulars just so I have some talent already. Players that hold down a place in the England squad have not been included no matter what age, I also added a few older players that don't have many if any caps to add some experience to the team.
